I’m Gisella Rose, a professional genealogist, embodiment guide, author, and the creator of Ancestral Alchemology™.
My pull toward ancestral work has been with me for most of my life. After a near-death experience, I began living with a heightened awareness of the in-between, the liminal space where the living and the dead meet, where lineage lives most clearly. It’s where memory, pattern, grief, resilience, and inheritance move between generations. It’s also where ancestral magic resides, and a felt continuity between those who came before and those who are here now.
There is deep joy for me in building a family tree - both within my own lineage and for others. Genealogical research is tangible, grounded work. It brings ancestors into focus as people who lived real lives and shaped what followed.
Ancestral Alchemology is where that grounded research meets ritual, embodiment, and the unseen layers that exist alongside the records. It bridges documentation and intuition, allowing lineage to be met not only through information, but through relationship. This method is shared in my book, ELIXIR: A Journey into Ancestral Alchemology, where the framework can be explored as a self-guided practice. The one-on-one container offers a deeper, held experience of that same method - working directly with your lineage through research, astrology, embodiment, and ritual.
Ancestral Alchemology honors the liminal - the space between worlds, between generations, between what was and what is becoming. It is my way of supporting people in meeting their lineage clearly, consciously, and with depth.

What Is Ancestral Alchemy?
Ancestral alchemy is an approach to ancestral healing and generational healing that understands lineage as a living, evolving field rather than a fixed past. It explores how inherited patterns - emotional, relational, behavioral, and energetic, that are carried across generations and how they continue to shape the present.
This work is often sought by those who feel the presence of generational patterns in their lives - recurring themes around belonging, survival, relationships, grief, creativity, or resilience - without always knowing where those patterns began. Ancestral alchemy offers a way of meeting these experiences with awareness, embodiment, and choice.
Historically and cross-culturally, ancestral practices have centered on remembrance, reverence, and lineage awareness. Ancestral alchemy honors these roots while engaging with contemporary understandings of the body, the nervous system, and inherited adaptation. Rather than focusing on fixing the past, the work is oriented toward breaking generational patterns by creating new relational possibilities in the present.
In this context, ancestral healing is not about erasing what came before, but about integrating lineage with discernment, recognizing both the challenges and the resilience that have shaped a family line over time.

Many people work with ancestry through felt sense, symbolic themes, inherited patterns, and relational dynamics that arise naturally in the body and in life experience.
The work meets people where they are, including those with unknown, adopted, fragmented, or disrupted family histories.
