InBodying Astrology
Today I want to open a sacred conversation that lives at the intersection of intuition, embodiment, ancestry, and the stars.
Lately, and you may have noticed this too if you spend any time in wellness or holistic spaces - there is a rising current. More and more people are feeling drawn to astrology in a more embodied way.
We see astrology appearing more frequently in yoga classes, workshops, and social media posts. Moon circles are no longer only about the Full Moon or New Moon. Increasingly, the astrological layers are being woven into these practices as well. Maybe you’ve even begun incorporating this into your own practice.
So I want to pause here for a moment and ask a simple question:
✨ Why would we want to embody astrology?
Why would we want to bring astrology into the body?
Why would we connect an astrological sign to a specific area of the body and move with it in practice?
For example, imagine you were born in March and you are a Pisces, and neither your Moon nor your Rising sign is in Leo. Yet here we are during Leo season, and we are embodying Leo energies.
✨ Why would we want to do that?
Astrology as Remembering
For me, astrology isn’t simply a language or a method of interpretation.
Astrology is a remembering.
It is a way of listening.
A way of weaving with the unseen.
A way of understanding ourselves through movement, sensation, and sacred timing.
And in this conversation, I want to invite you into a method I have created called InBodying Astrology.
Spelled I-N-B-O-D-Y-I-N-G.
This method is new in its structure, but it is also ancient in spirit. It is an integration of old wisdom brought into a modern, embodied practice.
InBodying Astrology™ is not only about learning your birth chart.
It is about living it.
It is about uncovering what is encoded within you and allowing it to become a lived experience in the body.
This somatic method invites us to experience our natal charts as a living code.
It is:
• non-dogmatic
• earth-rooted
• spiral-based
• cosmically inspired
And it moves beyond astrology as purely divination.
Beyond horoscopes.
Beyond compatibility charts.
Beyond intellectual interpretation.
All of those things are beautiful, I love them too. Astrology absolutely is my jam.
But InBodying Astrology™ brings astrology into something simpler, more digestible, and deeply embodied.
It moves astrology out of divination and into incarnation.
Feeling the Cosmic Blueprint
Rather than only thinking about astrology, this work invites you to feel it.
Yes, we work with the areas of the body connected to each sign, but we also work with something deeper.
InBodying Astrology moves through the three brains of the body:
• the gut brain
• the heart brain
• the head brain
These are woven together with the chakra system, creating an energetic lens for integration and transformation.
The work is rooted in Western astrology, and while it draws inspiration from the ancient tradition of medical astrology, it is not a medical or diagnostic system.
Instead, it offers a poetic, body-based approach to connecting with the energetic signatures imprinted in your chart.
Your natal chart is not a static map.
It is a portal between the cosmos and the Earth.
It holds:
• the vibration of your first breath
• ancestral echoes moving through your lineage
• and, for those who resonate with it, the imprints of past lives and cycles of return.
The moment you took your first breath into this world is utterly unique.
Even twins do not share that exact moment.
There is always a slight difference - a shift in time, a shift in position, a shift in vibration.
Your chart captures that cosmic signature.
Beyond Correspondence Astrology
Much of what we see in wellness spaces today could be called correspondence-based astrology.
For example:
It’s Leo season.
Leo corresponds with the lion.
Leo connects with certain colors, herbs, archetypes, and chakras.
All of this is beautiful and meaningful. These correspondences absolutely have value. They are valid starting points, and I use them in my own work as well.
But very often, they remain external.
People still find themselves asking:
Why do I want to work with this sign?
Why this body area?
What does this actually mean for me?
Sometimes people even say,
“I don’t really like that sign.”
And that is where InBodying Astrology shifts the experience.
Instead of working only through symbols, we move into felt sensation.
We bring astrology inward.
This is where astrology becomes alive and intimate.
We are no longer simply matching signs to symbols.
We are remembering rhythms.
Tracing breath and memory through the somatic intelligence of the body.
And from that remembering, something beautiful happens.
We begin to manifest.
We stir the sediments within us.
And from that stirring, we uncover the elixir that we already are.
Polishing the Facets of the Self
I often explain this process like a diamond or gemstone.
A gemstone has many facets.
Each facet reflects light differently.
Throughout life, as we move through different seasons, signs, experiences, and cycles, we polish these facets.
Not to become something new - but to reveal what is already there.
To become the shiniest version of the gem we already are.
We dissolve the unnecessary.
We shake loose the sediment.
We remember.
A Somatic Astrology Practice
Through InBodying Astrology, we begin to:
• move with the Moon
• spiral with the elements
• breathe through the planets
It becomes a living practice that aligns astrology with somatic exploration and intuitive embodiment.
This work also engages the nervous system, allowing real-time integration as emotions, memories, and energies move through the body.
Through movement, breath, sound, hand shapes, visualization, and astrological tools, we invite ancestral memory to move through the soma.
We honor spiral time.
We move with seasonal rhythms.
We listen to lunar phases.
And we begin to understand that every sign, every planet, and every element has a place within the magical body.
Your soma.
The Body as Cauldron
Your body is the cauldron.
Your natal chart is the recipe.
And your movements, breath, and awareness become the alchemy.
In my book ELIXIR: A Journey into Ancestral Alchemology, I explore this idea through the metaphor of body potion making.
The ingredients are already within you.
Your astrology.
Your ancestry.
Your lived experience.
When we begin working with them consciously, the potion begins to transform.
And eventually, that potion becomes an elixir.
Because ultimately:
✨ You are the elixir.
Going Deeper with ELIXIR
If you want to explore this work at a deeper level, I invite you to read my book:
ELIXIR: A Journey into Ancestral Alchemology
In ELIXIR, I guide readers through a lineage-based approach to astrology, weaving together:
• ancestral charts
• MoonTree mapping
• somatic ritual practices
Together we explore how your natal code lives not only within you, but also moves through generations of ancestral memory.
It becomes a bridge between:
your chart
your body
your bones
your roots
Return to the Body
Ultimately, all of this work brings us back to something simple.
The body.
Because that is where the magic happens.
InBodying Astrology™ invites you to spiral inward, to decode your rhythms, and to awaken the felt sense of your chart as a dance of breath, memory, and magic.
Not through prediction.
But through presence.
Through embodiment.
Through becoming the creatrix of your own unfolding reality.
Because the code was already there.
You are simply remembering how to work with it.
A Final Reflection
You are the ritual.
You are the rhythm.
You are the remembrance.
You are the stardust.
The same material the stars are made from is the same material that forms you.
So doesn’t it make sense to create with the cosmic pattern you arrived with when you took your first breath?
✨ You are the magic.
And it is time to wake your magic.
With love,
Gisella Rose
